The CRP-Tool was developed under Windows XP and uses MS-Excel's programming interface to combine Excel's user interface with the power of mathematical optimization libraries. So far, there are three versions of the CRP-Tool available. The first version supports the GNU-Optimization library GLPK and does not require further licenses to be run on your computer. Further CRP-Tool supports two commercial libraries, as there are CPLEX 8.1 and XPRESS MP, which are superior in performance compared with GLPK, but require the respective software license to be installed on your computer, for being able to run these comfortable versions of CRP-Tool.
